So, you just saw those two pink lines (or maybe the word “Pregnant” on the digital test you triple-checked). First, congrats! Second, don’t panic. You’ve just entered a world of excitement, planning, and probably Googling everything!


To make it all a little less overwhelming, here’s a list of 10 things to do after finding out you’re pregnant.

1. Let It Sink In

You’re growing a human. A human! Take a moment to scream, cry, laugh, or stare at the wall in disbelief. All normal reactions. This is the start of a wild adventure, so give yourself a moment to just… feel it.


2. Tell Your Partner (or Your Person)

Break the news to your partner, bestie, or trusted human. Do you go for a creative reveal or just shove the test in their face? Your call. Either way, expect reactions ranging from tears to awkward silence as it sinks in.


3. Book a Midwife Appointment

Time to make it official! Call your healthcare provider to schedule that all-important first prenatal appointment. They’ll confirm the pregnancy, estimate your due date, and bombard you with leaflets that make you feel both informed and slightly terrified.


4. Start Taking Prenatal Vitamins (Like, Now)

If you haven’t already, pick up some prenatal vitamins with folic acid. Your baby is already starting to develop, and those vitamins are like tiny superheroes helping things along.

5. Google “Can I Eat/Drink This?”
